2014 Education Conference a Huge Success!
The 2nd Annual Education Conference "From Possabilities to Practical Applications" held at the Hilton in Short Pump on February 1, 2014 was successful at enlightening and empowering more than 240 parents, self-advocates, and educational professionals who attended the event. Over 95% of attendees rated the conference as "highly satisfied or satisified" and would come to the conference next year! Attendees enjoyed the variety of topics on inclusion, behavior, diploma options, IEPs, person-first language, friendships and make and take it and of course, our self-advocates that joined us for lunch! Parents and educators and other professionals were networking with each other and took time to visit the 22 exhibitors. Attendees said:
" we enjoyed networking with parents and educators"
"great caliber of presenters"
"rejuvenated for the upcoming IEP",
"positive feeling about the future"
We hope this opportunity also afforded you a chance to make new connections. We value your participation and look forward to staying in touch as DSAGR grows this conference every year.
