The Enrichment Program
The Enrichment Program is financial assistance for children/young adults with Down syndrome to participate in group extra curricular activities. It may not be used for therapy services, daycare or tutoring. It is intended to offer our children/young adults an opportunity for a fun enriching program that they would not get in the academic/therapy arena. Examples include but are not limited to: camps, dance class, art classes, karate, gymnastics, and swimming lessons.
Applications will be accepted 3 times a year: January for winter/spring programs, April for summer programs and August for fall/winter programs. Each individual with Down syndrome may only receive funds 1 time per calendar year. Please pay close attention to deadline dates as they are firm. No application will be accepted after that date.
Funds will be dispersed based on availability and at the discretion of The Enrichment Committee and/or The DSAGR Board of Directors. Monies will be sent directly to the program (invoice required) or reimbursed with a paid receipt.
In order to receive funds, the family of the individual and the individual if able must participate in DSAGR events and fundraisers and/or be a part of at least 1 DSAGR committee. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Enrichment Committee and/or The DSAGR Board of Directors.
