Thanks to YOU - DSAGR's many dedicated supporters - we can now report that over $92,000 was raised to date for our 3rd Annual Buddy Walk on October 10, 2009 at the Richmond Raceway Complex! That's nearly a $20,000 increase over the 2008 Buddy Walk! We are deeply humbled by your generosity and support for individuals with Down syndrome in the Greater Richmond area, especially in light of the current ecomonic climate.

Funds raised will be put toward new parent packets for parents whose child has been recently diagnosed with Down syndrome, enrichment activity scholarships for individuals with Down syndrome, and educational materials and seminars for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Not only was the walk a great fundraising success, but you were part of a record-setting attendance of over 1,200 participants. That's a 20% increase in attendance over our 2008 Buddy Walk, despite the rain!

But above all, our walk was a great success because you and over 100 individuals with Down syndrome and your families & friends shared in a celebration of love and support for those with Down syndrome.
